About our President

Jim Hunter founded MII Equipment, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1976. His vision at that time was to provide material handling, dock equipment, floor mounted safety products and ergonomic equipment to the industrial customers throughout the Midwest. As MII Equipment grew, it became evident that a broader line of products was needed to supply customers throughout the U.S. Jim’s engineering and business backgrounds coupled with his experience in the material handling field led him to start manufacturing products that filled gaps in MII Equipment’s line of products. Jim incorporated a company, registered the trade name Handle-It and started manufacturing in 1999. The business has grown into a significant supplier of material handling equipment and other products serving industrial customers throughout North America and the world.
